AUSTIN – State Representative Jacey Jetton was appointed to the Redistricting Committee, Elections Committee, and Public Health Committee. Appointments were made by Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan.
“The foundation of democracy is free and fair elections,” Jetton said. “Governor Abbott made election integrity an emergency item this session. I will work with my colleagues to restore trust and confidence in the outcome of our elections.”
“In addition to pursuing election integrity, I also asked Speaker Phelan to appoint me to the Public Health Committee. I am thankful he entrusted me to serve on these two committees. Texas is leading the nation in the vaccine distribution process, but we must do all we can to keep Texans healthy while getting our economy moving again.”
Representative Jetton will also serve on the Redistricting Committee for the 87th Legislative Session, which will be chaired by Representative Todd Hunter.
